    Job Description

    AMHS Staffing Alliance is expanding! We are looking for a Recruiter who will development a pipeline of Travel RNs for the four hospitals within the Albany Med Health System - Albany Medical Center, Columbia Memorial, Glens Falls, and Saratoga.  

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

    The Recruiter will be responsible for recruitment and sourcing nurses.  In addition, the Recruiter will help manage the applicant tracking and scheduling system, create and launch recruitment marketing campaigns with recruitment marketing partner to develop a talent pool of qualified nurses, and act as the point of contact for nurses on assignment that require support to ensure Staffing Alliance nurses have a positive work experience. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for full cycle recruitment for healthcare positions including screening resumes, scheduling and conducting phone screens, etc.
    • Attends career fairs, virtual hiring events, etc.
    • Ensures that all required new hire, onboarding, licensure and screening documents are obtained, completed, entered, and tracked in accordance with entity and AMHS policies and governmental regulations.
    • Act as the point of contact for assigned contingent nurses, system member clinical departments and Human Resources teams to ensure accurate, effective, efficient, timely and safe onboarding and ongoing follow up for temporary nursing assignments.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute recruitment and onboarding tasks within applicant tracking system, assist with facility placement orders and assignments and maintaining positive working relationships with contingent nursing staff.
    • Actively collaborate with AMHS HR colleagues.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Must be able to prioritize, plan, and complete work activities in an efficient, timely manner.
    • Must be self-directed and motivated. Works with minimal supervision and exercises common sense and strong independent judgment to problem-solve with a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
    • Consistently works with integrity to develop strong trusting relationships and handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Possesses a proactive approach to accomplishing work, has immaculate follow up, and demonstrates the flexibility to meet business needs with a focus on achieving results.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a bias toward candidate care.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
    • GSA - Stipend knowledge

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in: Business Administration, Human Resources, Nursing or equivalent
    • Minimum of two years of experience in Talent Acquisition and or Human Resources
    • Prior work in a healthcare staffing agency or healthcare industry experience

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    1. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Minimal physical effort: including walking, standing, bending, and light lifting on a daily basis. Constant computer-related work such as typing, looking at computer screen, etc.

    2. WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment; ventilated, lighted and with regulated temperature. Multiple interruptions and/or distractions from telephone, co-workers, and other staff.
