Payroll Specialist Accountant at Albany Med Health System Staffing Alliance
Never heard of us? We are part of the Albany Med Health System. The AMHS Staffing Alliance is Albany Med Health System’s internal travel and contract nurse recruiting group. We are growing and seeking an experienced Full-time or Part-time Payroll Specialist to join our team!
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities include timely processing of payroll and accounts payable.
Job Type: Part-time, Monday to Wednesday or Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Job Classification: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Enter timesheets to process the weekly payroll.
2. Process invoices to include checking for accuracy, proper approval, entering into accounting software to be sent to the hospital for payment.
3. Must be knowledgeable about payroll laws and regulations, including federal and state tax laws, wage and hour laws, and employee benefits laws.
4. Enter new hires, changes, and terminations into the payroll system.
5. Assure that all employees receive timely responses to inquiries, questions, etc.
6. Preparation of assigned account reconciliations.
7. Maintaining accurate payroll records.
8. Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
