Alcami interns are provided hands-on work experience building upon knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Interns work side-by-side industry leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment who are passionate about being part of a team developing life-saving drugs around the world. The program concludes with individual presentations to Alcami leaders.Position SummaryThe 2022 Intern - Chemistry Analyst will be responsible for completing all onboarding activities and providing feedback for process improvements. The intern will be trained on proper laboratory techniques and documentation in a GMP environment. The intern will maintain laboratory facilities, including organization of sample, disposal of laboratory/manufacturing waste, and 5s organizational activities. All interns will be trained on laboratory/manufacturing safety, are expected to maintain safety standards, and are to report safety observations according to company policy. In addition, the intern will be responsible for the following: The lab intern will complete all onboarding activities and provide feedback for process improvements. The lab intern will be trained on proper laboratory techniques and documentation in a GMP environment. Techniques will depend on the group but may include pH, titrations, Karl Fischer, dissolution, assisting with HPLCThe lab intern will be responsible for the maintenance of laboratory facilities, including organization of samples, disposal of laboratory waste, and 5s organizational activities.Interns will be trained on laboratory safety, are expected to maintain safety standards, and report safety observations according to company policy.Education And Requirements Enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology with a Chemistry Minor or Pharmaceutical Sciences. Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills required. Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills required. Excellent problem-solving and basic trouble-shooting ability required. Awareness or prior work experience in a GMP environment preferred.
