Job Description

We have an opening for a self-motivated summer Intern to assist with safety inspections and audits in all aspects of site operations which includes outside contractors. Work with other safety professionals in the group to gain in-depth knowledge safety and health compliance. Review and update existing programs within the business unit. May provide some safety related training topics. Some travel will be required.

• Perform audits and inspections of contractors working on sites
• Review and update existing health and safety programs within the business unit
• Shadow site project manager on general duties such as Discharge Monitoring Reports, water treatment processes, review Job Safety Analyses and provide feedback
• Update SharePoint site with relevant safety related information
• Track safety action items in the incident database
• Provide safety training to business unit salaried group

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an EHS related degree program from an accredited school. Must possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with SharePoint, Excel, Word is required.
