Job Description

Alcoa is currently seeking an undergraduate intern to join our Global Marine Operations Desk located in Knoxville, TN starting in the summer of 2018 and lasting for approximately 6 months.

The Global Marine Operations Group is Alcoa's international shipping arm.  We are accountable for leading the company's global maritime strategy, securing ocean freight, and performing shipping specific analysis.  The Marine Operations Group in Knoxville is Alcoa’s hub for managing the company's ocean freight risk.  The Marine Group supports global and business-specific objectives and priorities across Alcoa's businesses in bauxite mining, alumina refining, primary metal smelting, and value-added casthouse products. This internship will allow for global maritime exposure and experiences and will be a great foundation to jump start a career.

During the assignment, candidates will learn our business processes and will be given mentoring and instruction that will help them apply theory to real-life issues.

Candidates will also be exposed to a variety of strategy project-based assignments which will allow them to add value to the company.
