Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT) to join our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role is ideal for individuals working toward certification in substance use counseling who are looking to gain hands-on clinical experience in a structured, supportive environment.
The ADT will work under clinical supervision to provide direct support to clients in recovery, assist with group sessions, and contribute to the overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy sessions under supervision
Assist with client intake, orientation, and assessments
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, group notes, etc.)
Support clients in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery plans
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure coordinated and effective care
Monitor client engagement and report concerns to supervising clinicians
Adhere to all program policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
Active Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT) status (required)
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred)
Strong interest in behavioral health and substance use treatment
Ability to work under supervision and follow clinical guidance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
