  • Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will be a client-focused executive who has experience, existing relationships with clients as well as in the agency/media buying community. The primary focus will be our three digital media properties with some additional opportunities to pitch our platform.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.

    • Create and implement brand strategies that resonate with current and potential clients.

    • Ability to structure deals and develop strong client relationships as part of one the nation’s leading digital news and information site serving the professional African-American community.

    • Collaborate with marketing team to ensure all marketing materials and pitches are aligned with client’s needs.

    • Create comprehensive packages for ad agencies and direct advertisers to sell across Digital, OTT and CTV platforms.

    • Participate in the Upfront and scatter negotiations with agencies/clients as needed.

    • Direct and foster revenue relationships at the client/marketing levels as well as with advertising agencies servicing and negotiating through both the account and media teams.

    • Tap into existing network of relationships to immediately leverage for opportunities.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, BA or a related field, MBA preferred

    • 8+ years of media sales related experience

    • Previous sales experience with digital media properties

    • Existing portfolio of fortune 1000 clients actively targeting the African-American consumer specifically in CPG, automotive, technology, telecommunications, and personal care industries

    • Experience working as part of a successful sales or marketing organization and growing a business portfolio.

    • A track record of successfully increasing sales revenues or driving positive results.

    • An entrepreneurial spirit and resilient attitude toward exceeding goals.
