    As Director of Business Development, there are five primary responsibilities: Manage the Business Development Team, ensuring we hit our sales targets every month, identifying prospects and leads for our funnel, pitching services, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Additionally, making sure our processes, automation and workflow is as efficient as possible for the department and for cross-department communication.

    Purpose of the position:

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Manage the Business Development Team

    • Ensuring company hits the target sales goal every month

    • Identifying prospects and leads

    • Pitching company services

    • Maintaining relationships with existing customers.

    • Making sure the department processes, automation and workflow is efficient and cross-department communication is effective.

    Qualifications of the position:

    • 2+ years experience working in marketing/sales/business strategy role, experience required

    • Excellent managerial skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Primary Accountabilities of the position:

    • Manage the Business Development Team and ensure the team working together efficiently and seamlessly.

    • Manage the company’s sales pipeline and make sure we are up-to-date on all tasks related to the company’s sales objectives.

    • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships

    • Responsible for Tier 2 and Tier 3 prospects.

    • Calls/Proposals/Follow-Ups

    • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders

    • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business needs

    • Assist with new revenue streams and opening into new markets

    • Work with CEO on day-to-day business strategy logistics

    • Oversee the company’s marketing strategy and planning

    • Work hand-in-hand and collaborate with other departments in the organization on an as-needed basis.

    Duties & Responsibilities for each Accountability:

    Daily

    Reliability: Be reliable and follow through on all verbal and written tasks.

    Clear Communication: Provide very clear communication with colleagues & CEO.

    Waiving White Flag: Produce ability to communicate to Management team & CEO any problems or issues with clients or resources

    UP-TO-DATE TO-DOS & PROJECTS

    • Stay extremely organized and updated on project schedules and deadlines of all projects under your purview.

    • Avoid ever over-promising or missing a deadline

    • Immediately log client notes in company CRM anytime there is an update

    MAINTAIN/ORGANIZE THE SALES DASHBOARD & PIPELINE

    • Ensure that primary tools used to track the progress of leads in the sales pipeline are up-to-date on a daily basis.

    TAKE SALES CALLS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS

    Sales Materials & Proposals

    • Ensure that all sales materials & proposals are generated in a timeline manor and sent within a reasonable deadline at the clients request

    MANAGE THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM

    • Hold 1-on-1’s with each of you team members to check-in on their well-being, goal tracking & setting, capacity & task management.

    Sales Reporting

    • Report on the status of the sales pipeline and how the company is forecasting for the month.

    • Work with CEO and Senior Team to establish & track on company goals.

    • Conduct on audit of Business Development department to determine updates & improvements needed.
