    Position SummaryAs the first person the guest sees when they walk through the door, the Greeter creates a welcoming and friendly environment. The Greeter is a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests to make a great first and lasting positive impression with the guests. Responsibilities

    Greet guests, confirm and/or take reservations, and track occupancy chart for the restaurant

    Keep track of the waiting list and open tables; monitoring the flow of the dining room and taking note of which tables are ready to be sat, which tables are being bussed, and which tables are coming close to closing

    Accurately quote wait times to guests

    Answerphone calls and provide basic information regarding reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services

    Take orders verbally over the phone and pack prepared take-out orders

    Assign tables to guests depending on party size, guest needs, server rotation and table availability

    Alert and call guests when the table is bussed, cleaned and ready to be sat

    Escort guests to table and present food and drink menus

    Answer guest questions regarding menu items; recommend or suggest items as needed

    Observe and assists in preparing unoccupied tables for customers by cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces and removing debris

    Assist with restaurant side work and opening and closing duties

    Other duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Friendly “people-person”; respectful, polite and courteous to all guests

    Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Highly organized and works well under pressure

    Physically able to wipe down tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to carry 25 or more pounds; able to push vacuum or mop, and roll silverware

    Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift

    Able to perform basic mathematics

    Available to work a variety of shifts to include days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays is highly desired
