Alembic is a stealth phase startup dedicated to streamlining the complexities of marketing across multiple platforms for enterprise and mid-market users, building a single portal to coordinate and quantify campaigns across multiple channels. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Our core technologies are node.js, React, Apollo Server, Sequelize ORM, Postgres, OpenTSDB, Docker, and Ansible/Terraform.  We use CircleCI and Jest for CI/CD and our test harness. We host on AWS. 

• Build test harnesses and tests for Alembic's services and APIs.
• Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, and educate the team on automated testing best practices.
• Set up test environments, design test plans, develop test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and execute these cases.
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability.

WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU NEED?

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise with integrated CI/CD systems (like CircleCI) and test frameworks (like Jest).
• Demonstrated communication skills.  Able to communicate effectively with other members of the fast-moving developer team.
• BSCS or equivalent experience.
• Strong learning/teaching orientation.  We succeed or fail as a team!
• Low ego.  This is all about our customers and our mutual success, not about individual success.
• US Citizen or Green Card only.  We're sorry, but we don't have the resources to process work visa transfers at this time.

Important Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in testing front-end (node.js) and back-end systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in testing SQL and NoSQL persistence layers.
• Demonstrated expertise in testing in a Docker-based environment.

Nice To Have:

• Experience testing Time Series DB systems
• Experience with AWS testing tools and systems
• Experience working with monitoring tools (DataDog, DynaTrace) and logging tools (ELK)
