Responsibilities

Incumbent will be working on the SmartComm team and will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting software applications and integrations.

Gather, document, understand, and articulate functional, non-functional, and business requirements that are already defined.

Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.

Become familiar with Alfa’s interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand impact of software changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science or Mathematics is required.

Experience in JavaScript, .Net, ASP and/or C#, XML, Insurance Vertical.

SmartComm, Grooper, JavaScript, Visual Basic experience is a plus but not required.

Proven experience in various SDLC components. Knows when to use different methodologies and how to effectively manage each.

Competent communication skills (sending and receiving), including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management, and product owners.

Ability to quickly learn and comprehend insurance-related topics and relate that knowledge to the development process.

This is a hybrid position that will allow for remote work 3-4 days per week after the initial training period.
