The Package Concierge serves as the point person for all technology-related and package-related needs. They will exemplify excellent hospitality and customer service to all residents, guests, staff, and vendors. This role will provide cohesion between guests and the building staff by properly triaging guests to the correct department. This role will partner with the Resident Ambassador, assist cross-department teams, and be a stellar team player! 

This is a full-time, non-exempt, in-person position with multiple positions open in San Jose, California. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet residents with a smile and by their name.
• Ensure residents that their needs are our number one priority.
• Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries from carriers.
• Log necessary inconsistencies/damages.
• Notify residents of package receipt for hold or delivery.
• Deliver packages to residents' door 3 times daily.
• Assist residents with scheduling and pickup of outgoing packages.
• Develop and maintain positive working relations with others, comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Maintain accurate and complete shift notes and “pass-on” logs to ensure successful communication through shift changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma

• 0-1 years of experience

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 45lbs

• Must be available to work late at night or early in the morning and overtime, when required

• Ability to handle situations with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality

• Strong desire to expand personal horizons, be the best, and be part of creating something special

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to comprehend the most complex instructions, correspondence, and reports.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management or public groups.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
