Specialty medical practice with offices in Charleston and neighboring regions is seeking a qualified part time  Ophthalmic Assistant for our Charleston office.  

The OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT must be focused on excellent patient care and teamwork.  The position will have some required travel to satellite offices. Must be flexible with working hours.   Please submit a cover letter and resume detailing work experience to be considered for position. 

Summary of Responsibilities: 

Responsible for daily patient care and flow. Position requires a firm understanding of ophthalmic practice and patient care. Knowledge of medical instrumentation and its proper care and usage needed. Ability to assess common safety hazards and take precautions to establish a safe work environment required. Ability to communicate with patients, coworkers and supervisor is critical. Must be willing to help in all areas and understand the need for efficient use of time.
