Our client, a leader in the in the commercial flooring business, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Tile Installer / Foreman . As a Lead Tile Setter/Foreman, you will lead installations on large, specialized, and detailed projects and the having the experience and skill to best utilize your resources to maintain a high level of professionalism, top quality workmanship while maximizing productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend Project pre-construction meeting with Project Manager or Installation manager
- Verify what testing is required and that pre-installation testing has been completed and send documentation of testing to Project Manager
- Read and comprehend shop drawings and gain clarity of all installation details
- Coordinate workflow and day to day scheduling with customer
- Monitor and maintain productivity rates for each installation.
- Create and maintain a positive working relationship with the customer, team members and other trades
- Verify correct type and quantity of materials are received at the site
- With customer/GC, walk the site documenting existing conditions of your workspace, review, and check substrates, and identify acceptable cutting, disposal, and clean up areas and utility sources.
- Establish correct layout, elevations, patterns, and design details
- Have sufficient knowledge of material applications and manufacturers product limitations and the ability to stay within these guidelines.
- Oversee and also perform installation per manufacturer and TCNA recommended methods
- Notify your manager of any faulty equipment prior to failure.
- Notify your manager of individual installer and subcontractor status of performance
- Fill out and submit all project required reporting
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- TCNA or equal tile training certificate, or minimum 5 years installation experience including 2 years leading installation crew.
- Understand and exhibits Leadership skills.
- Maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. continuously
- Ability to interpret and read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications

- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
