They work with a wide range of mission-driven non-profit organizations whose causes include environmental conservancy, women’s rights, refugee support and resettlement, animal welfare, food security and housing. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you are partnering with non-profits that make a difference and help further their causes.

    They are seeking a seasoned Print Buyer to join their team. This position is what gets the ball rolling on all client projects. Working directly with the Account Managers to bid material within project budgets and offer insight into the best production methods to make their vision a reality.

    This is also a flexible position in that you can choose to work remotely or in our beautiful office space in the Portland metro area. They are a small team of kind, compassionate and supportive people looking forward to welcoming you to their team.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Responsible for procuring print and mail shop services, from the initial confirmation of specs, bidding and project awards.
    • Review RFP matrices for technical and/or postal issues
    • Prepare requests for quotes and compile bids
    • Award projects to winning suppliers
    • Help to research and qualify suppliers for our resource pool
    • Research of postal issues
    • Obtain supplier’s delivery schedules and production timelines
    • Other departmental support where applicable and needed

    Skills & Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience in commercial printing required (mailing experience preferred). Knowledge of print terminology and practices - including layout and bindery
    • Direct Mail, Postal or Adobe Creative Cloud software experience also a huge plus but not required
    • Fully PC literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, TEAMS and especially Excel in formatting and creating formulas
    • Expert organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to see and understand the full picture
    • Unflappable as project specs change
    • MAC experience using the Adobe Creative Suite or QuarkExpress also helpful
    • Ability to be part of a team and take direction

    • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and professionally
