Located near the Merchandise Mart, our corporate office is in search of an energetic individual for the role of Billing Associate. The ideal applicant has an appetite for operating in a growing and fast paced environment with an inquisitive mind in the insurance field to help with explanation of benefits processing, assisting on special projects and backing up our verification specialists.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Reconciling insurance payments entered into EMR system against the clearing house
• Researching claim denials and bring to resolutions
• Following up on PI cases
• Processing billing for all 17 locations through our electronic process
• Provides support to our insurance verification specialists on an as needed basis
• Assisting on special projects assigned by the billing operations team
• Keeping the team and company updated on denial trends
• Provides support to billing group for other administrative duties as needed

Soft-skill requirements

• 2+ years relevant healthcare billing experience required

• Possesses a professional and courteous demeanor in all forms of communication

• Comfortable conducting daily tasks on the phone or computer

• Takes ownership and applies rigor to all tasks assigned

• Ease and savviness utilizing Microsoft office products and various software

• Possesses excellent multi-tasking skills

• Process minded of which makes quick connections on downward and upward impacts of tasks within role
