    The ideal candidate will be outgoing, professional, have great organizational skills, have strong administrative skills, and excel when multi-tasking. Candidate must have knowledge in Accounts Receivables, medical insurance process, and insurance policies/benefits.

    Among other things, responsibilities include:

    • Identify and resolve medical billing issues
    • Correcting and resubmitting claims to payers
    • Review unpaid and/or denied claims and submit appeals as needed
    • Ensure timely collection of outstanding A/R and perform a variety of clerical and accounting functions to resolve billing issues
    • AR follow-up with insurance companies, addressing denials and rejections, etc
    • Review EOB's for proper reimbursement
    • Verify patient health insurance benefits and assist with patient billing inquiries
    • Assist in ensuring labs are appropriately billed and collected
    • Work with clinic managers to collect patient balances
    • Perform other Medical/Healthcare billing duties as needed
    • Assist company in staying up to date on proper billing and coding

    Soft-skill requirements

    • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in medical billing (chiropractic/physical therapy preferred)
    • Knowledge of medical billing collection/practices a must
    • Familiarity with Chiropractic CPT codes, ICD-10 codes and modifiers
    • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Strong telephone and email communication skills
    • Comfortable working independently as well as with the team
    • Problem solving skills, ability to analyze an issue and recommend a solution
    • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
    • Team player and able to be flexible based on the needs of the department
    • Attention to detail, highly organized
