  • Responsibilities

    The Director of Financial Shared Services oversees multiple organizational functions, providing leadership and direction to Accounts Payable and Payroll operations. This includes ensuring accurate processing of invoices and timely vendor payments, compliance with company policies, and effective management of payroll transactions. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Director's responsibilities encompass:

     

    \- Leading and overseeing Accounts Payable and Payroll Operations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

    \- Managing daily Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor relations.

    \- Ensuring proper authorization and coding of invoices, reviewing for accuracy and policy compliance.

    \- Timely issuance of invoice payments according to established deadlines.

    \- Addressing inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders promptly and professionally.

    \- Implementing process improvements for streamlined accounts payable processes.

    \- Directing payroll activities, ensuring accurate payroll processing, deductions, and compliance with regulations.

    \- Collaborating with payroll vendors for tax activities and regulatory compliance.

    \- Maintaining confidentiality of payroll information and overseeing employee development and performance.

    \- Provide input on system enhancements and perform other assigned duties.

     

    Requirements for this role include:

     

    \- Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) status.

    \- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial skills with attention to detail.

    \- Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.

    \- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    \- Collaborative leadership ability.

    \- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, management, or finance is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

    \- 8-10 years of progressive payroll experience, including 5-6 years in a management role.

    \- Hands-on experience with payroll software, preferably Paylocity.
