Best place to work seeks Corporate Staff Tax Accountant to join their team on a hybrid basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare corporate federal, state and local tax returns.
- Prepare extensions, estimated payments, withholding payments for corporations.
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the year-end and quarterly tax provisions for corporations.
- Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
- Assist with responses to notices from taxing authorities and field audits.
- Completes forms for tax refunds.
- Advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability.
- Ensures that organization complies with information reporting and other taxing authority requirements.
- Organizes and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects.
- Provides tax advice to organization.
- Perform tax research as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
- CPA and/or Masters in Tax is a plus
- One tax season in public accounting preferred
- Preparation of Federal 1120, 1065 and state tax returns is required
- Knowledgeable in Excel
- Knowledgeable in OneSource or GoSystems tax preparation software and tax research software
- Knowledgeable in Sage Fixed Assets is a plus
