    Large corporation seeks experienced Risk Manager to join their team!

    The risk manager will be an individual with corporate and project insurance experience who will work with executives and project managers to ensure that all insurance related matters are successfully handled.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparing risk management and insurance budgets.
    • Reviewing daily insurance related emails and inquiries.
    • Managing all phases of the claims and litigation process and reports.
    • Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.
    • Collecting data for underwriting.
    • Maintaining records of insurance policies and claims.
    • Reviewing Certificates of Insurance, Additional Insured Endorsements, policies, and other applicable endorsements and exclusions from consultants, contractors, and vendors.
    • Collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.
    • Make recommendations and implement modifications and improvements.
    • Coordinating and submitting, as necessary, the gathering of insurance policy renewal data.
    • Reviewing policy coverages and renewals timelines.
    • Recommends and implements risk management insurance solutions.
    • Work with brokers to provide critical underwriting data to prepare insurance submissions to the market.
    • Confirm and review billing by project.
    • Assures appropriate contractual entitlement, risk and insurance language, and contractual risk transfer in owner, consultant, contractor, and vendor agreements.
    • Manages insurance broker and insurance carrier relationships.
    • Advises senior leadership on Risk Management decisions, strategies, and initiatives.
    • Executes Risk Management initiatives through coordination with various disciplines within the company including preconstruction, operations, procurement, finance, legal, and safety.
    • Complete insurance expense plans and short- and long-term forecasts to help assess the need for amendments to existing policies or programs.
    • Manages insurance procurement, develops, and implements risk management strategies and goals

     

    Competencies:

     

    • Experience working with corporate and construction related project insurance.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Management, Business or Finance.
    • Risk Management or Insurance certifications such as CRC, ARM, CRM, CRIS, CPCU, etc.
    • Thorough understanding of operational and construction related insurance policies and best practices of risk management.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies.
    • Thorough understanding of the corporation’s goals and values.
    • 5-7 years of insurance and risk management experience.
