We're looking for an energetic, responsible, loving babysitter to look after our 6 1/2-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter from 2:30 - 6pm Monday - Friday in Old Town Alexandria. We need someone who will pick up the children from school and take them to organized activities in Alexandria or to find a fun activity to do with them. The kids enjoy going to the park and playground as well as doing arts projects, science projects, building with Legos, listening and dancing to music, and just using their imaginations. We would also like someone who can help them practice as they learn to read and write. We're looking for someone who can start mid-August and stay with us through the school year to June 2019. We have two medium-sized dogs who are friendly and will be around in the house but there are no dog-related responsibilities expected. We need someone who has their own car to drive the kids to activities and has a clean driving record. We will check references and run a background check. We will provide payment through a payroll service.
