    We are currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation and coordination of a bench trial in federal district court.
    • Collaborate with Senior Paralegals and Assistant Attorney Generals to research, analyze, and prepare legal documents.
    • Participate in the drafting, reviewing, and proofreading of various documents, policies, rules, and laws.
    • Ensure compliance with the office's legal policies and procedures.
    • Handle highly confidential matters, including investigations, litigation, case strategy, evidence, and witnesses.
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and reports of an administrative nature.

    Skills:

    • Proficient understanding of legal concepts, terminology, principles, and procedures.
    • Familiarity with legal research, including the use of statutes, codes, and other legal resources.
    • Strong grasp of legal writing principles.
    • Appreciation for the attorney/client relationship, with a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
    • Skilled in researching and extracting information from statutes, codes, legal documents, and court decisions.
    • Competence in utilizing legal sources, eliciting information in legal investigations, and composing complex legal documents.
    • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with court representatives and government entities.
    • Capacity to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a professional, positive, and supportive demeanor.
    • Proficient in tracking court actions across multiple states.
    • Familiarity with automated case management systems and adherence to office procedures for record maintenance and tracking.

    Education:

    • Legal Assisting or Paralegal Studies certificate
