    All for Health, Health for All, Inc. (AFH) has been dedicated to providing healthcare services to the underprivileged and indigent community for more than four decades. As a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center and certified Patient-Centered Medical Home, our goal is to address disparities in healthcare access for the diverse multi-ethnic population of Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo counties. Our range of services includes family medicine, pediatric care, mental health support, behavioral health services, and adult day healthcare. In the past year alone, we have catered to over 21,000 patients, delivering more than 81,000 consultations across twelve clinic sites. Our success in ensuring seamless and coordinated care for all patients through their health journey is attributed to our comprehensive and integrated care delivery model. We are on the lookout for a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant to join us. This position offers a fulfilling and exceptional opportunity to actively engage with patients and collaborate with our healthcare team. Responsibilities: • Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures • Maintain accurate and legible patient records in compliance with state regulations • Clean and restock examination rooms • Sterilize medical equipment • Notify patients of lab results, imaging results, and medication refills • Coordinate patient care effectively • Participate in training and quality improvement activities • Ensure complete and accurate patient registration • Coordinate referrals and communicate details with patients • Assist patients with problem-solving related to healthcare system issues • Identify and utilize community resources for patient support • Ensure timely follow-up on referrals • Demonstrate integrity, leadership skills, and strong interpersonal skills • Perform other assigned duties Qualifications: • Proof of acceptable and appropriate training as deemed by the Medical Board of California • Exceptional human relations skills • Pediatric Experience • Ability and willingness to work with people regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disease state • Ability to maintain a friendly attitude with patients and staff, especially under pressure • Able to manage multiple priorities • Ability to speak, understand, write, and type English as well as having basic math and spelling skills • Experience a minimum of 3 years • Experience with ICD-10 codes and EMR System Compensation: $18 - $24 hourly
