    POSITION: Café Manager

    Status: Full Time Position

    Purpose of Position: To grow the All Sport café with the integration of new food items and by providing guidance for our current and future café staff.

    Performance Standards:

    Selling Responsibilities

    Ensure that we reach monthly revenue goal. These goals are determined by meeting with management and identifying opportunities for growth.

    Create awareness of all current options for members and staff.

    Create new food options for the café featuring local healthy items.

    Marketing Responsibilities

    Work with management to meet with the marketing director to discuss new food ideas and ways to promote them.

    Meet with the marketing director to discuss new food ideas and ways to promote them.

    Administrative, & Staff Leadership

    Review checklists, closeouts and MOD reports to provide constructive feedback.

    Post a Bi-Weekly schedule for all shifts inside and outside.

    Coordinate all marketing materials for the cafe.

    Code bills for payment.

    Take Inventory of café items before each order and a monthly inventory.

    Make sure all health code policies are enforced and followed.

    Ensure all food items are paid for by customers and that items are not being given away for free.

    Professionalism/Leadership:

    Attend to all details and responsibilities of the position in a timely, efficient and professional manner.

    Uphold protocol and procedures in a tactful and positive manner with all members and employees.

    Maintain a high degree of professionalism, consistency and reliability in regard to attitude, appearance and performance.

    Demonstrate strong managerial habits and behaviors.

    Maintain an excellent attendance record.

    Work Ethic - display a sense of readiness, resourcefulness and honesty.

    Punctuality - arrive 5-10 minutes before the assigned shift starting time.

    Appearance - sharp uniform with name tag, clean and pressed uniform, neatly groomed with combed hair. look the part.

    Knows and acts on behalf of All Sport’s mission/vision.

    Interact in a professional manner with other club and staff members.

    Cope well with stress and maintain personal productivity while under pressure.

    Maintain a high level of self-motivation!

    Communication

    Communicate problems/concerns to Management and contribute to their solution.

    Requires the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and the ability to teach and motivate them.

    Is polite, courteous, and has an apparent willingness to provide service.

    Communicates pertinent information to all managers, staff and clients in a timely and professional manner.

    Maximize the quality of the members’ experience by communicating and promoting club information with enthusiasm.

    Promotes programs externally through public relations and reputation management programs.

    Informs management of any equipment needing repair or any hazardous conditions in cafes.

    Handle clients complaints in a professional manner according to procedure.

    Has a cooperative and polite attitude with all co-workers, members and potential members.

    Never participates in gossip about the company or other employees or members and keep information confidential.

    Keep staff informed of recommendations based on member request, staff suggestions, industry trends, usage and daily stat.

    Knowledge

    Requires a background and knowledge of the club including staying up to date with new club programs.

    Requires ability to manage time effectively, maintain organized thought patterns and an overall sense of good judgment, planning and direction.

    Maintain CPR and First Aid Certifications.

    Continued development of leadership skills.

    Continued development of marketing and sales skills related to promoting club programs and services.

    Continued development of fitness related topics

    Initiative

    Provide leadership and motivation to all staff.

    Perform duties with the highest degree of initiative by acting without supervision and routinely reporting suggestions/decisions in meetings with management.

    Create interest with all members in helping them optimize their membership & overall club experience.

    Contributes new information to each department that can enhance performance & effectiveness.

    ATTRIBUTES:

    Requires an outgoing personality with the ability to effectively communicate with people. Requires a sincere interest and enthusiasm in one’s own fitness and helping others achieve their fitness goals. Requires the ability and desire to learn more about fitness, interpersonal communication, and marketing strategies.
