  • Responsibilities

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • Create electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
    • Develop bills of materials (BOMs)
    • Collaborate with electricians to ensure accurate assembly of electrical panels
    • Conduct thorough testing and verification of I/O, safety circuits, and other components
    • Design and implement manual functions and automated sequences necessary for instrumentation controls. Note that the following instrumentation architectures will be utilized: SCADA systems, DCS, PLCs, and more
    • Implement necessary controls interlocks to prevent operational mishaps and ensure safe functioning of instruments
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation related to schematics, programs, and overall instrument operation

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in 2D CAD Electrical Engineering for schematic design (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
    • Experience in programming PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, GE, Siemens preferred)
    • Expertise in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for instruments
    • Knowledge and familiarity with machine vision cameras and sensors is advantageous
    • Experience and understanding of robots and their interfaces is a plus
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and comprehend machine wiring
    • Exposure to automated equipment and tooling
    • Capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective project management skills to oversee tasks from concept to customer installation
    • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues and customers during project reviews and meetings as required
    • Occasional travel required, up to 15% domestically and internationally
