Job Description

The Thermal Design Engineering role is responsible for all aspects of designing and developing the thermal package for the AllCell battery systems, including component layout and selection adhering to best practice design guidelines, thermal analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position responsibilities will extend from initial concept to detailed drawing delivery, including:

· Support development of system requirements based on internal / regulatory / customer demands.

· Develop design solutions that meet thermal and functional requirements of the battery components and system.

• Build and evaluate thermal models.
• Prepare and release technical drawings.
• Support purchasing in supplier selection.
• Develop the design verification plan and reporting.

· Support sales activity by supporting concept development for quoting.

· Support Engineering Change Requests

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5 to 10 years relevant experience

· BS in Mechanical/Thermal engineering

· Fluent in 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred) and thermal simulation (Comsol preferred)

· Working knowledge of electrical safety is desired

· Strong technical writing, communication, team, and organizational skills

· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
