    Manufacturing Repair Technician – Manufacturing Plant - Base Salary to 38.25/hour – Charlotte, NC

    • Our client is a leading manufacturer creating innovative flatwork and fastening solutions used by the professional commercial contractor.     • In this role, the 3rd shift Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for electro-mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of a wide range of equipment. They need a professional Technician who has experience in a manufacturing environment and who can take ownership of complex mechanical and electrical repairs. Must be able to work overnight shift.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment – manual, semi and/or automated, and resolve problems
    • Assist with the installation and set-up of existing or new equipment
    • Suggest corrective actions for re-occurring downtime or performance issues
    • Maintain a preventative maintenance program
    • Maintain a spare parts inventory system
    • Perform a full range of operations using conventional machine tools and their various attachments
    • Work with repair vendors to fabricate needed spare parts or fabricate them
    • Use tape measures, micrometers, or other types of precision measuring instruments
    • Understand and apply hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical principles and the mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance on such equipment.
    • Work onsite in the manufacturing plant overnight, 11pm to 7:30am


    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years experience in automated electro-mechanical maintenance
    • Must possess the ability to read and understand operating instructions and interpret complex instructions, sketches, blueprints and codes
    • Ability to work 11pm to 7:30am, with occasional overtime
    • Good mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems
    • Ability to work in a team environment, eagerness to learn and contribute
    • Electrical/Hydraulic licenses/certifications are a plus

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 30.00 - 36.00/hour range, plus 2.25/hour night shift differential (can go higher for relevant experience)
