    Quality Assurance Specialist – Logistics Cargo Transport – Base Salary to 65k/year – Buffalo, NY

    • Our client, a well-established 3PL Freight Forwarding company, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist for their Buffalo NY area location.
    • This newly created role will report to the offsite director of quality and will be the onsite “go to” person for ISO 9001 policy writing & CPAR corrective action process
    • Schedule: Monday - Friday, business day hours; onsite role south of Buffalo

    Responsibilities:

    • Reporting to the Director of Quality, develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance System
    • Monitor quality improvement initiatives and track their impact
    • Conduct internal audits and evaluate conformance with internal quality standards
    • Develop & monitor Corrective Preventative Action Requests (CPAR)
    • Develop and maintain accurate documentation related to Quality Assurance processes
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality standards
    • Collaborate to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues
    • Work closely with Operations teams globally to understand customer requirements
    • Act as point of contact for quality related inquiries or feedback

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
    • 3+ years’ experience conducting audits and implementing corrective actions
      • Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATA and CEIV
      • Knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies
    • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, import/export processes preferred
    • Self-directed and able to work independently (reporting to an offsite manager)
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, high attention to detail
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel
    • Ability to travel periodically to the Florida office

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 60k - 65k/year range dependent on candidate experience
