    Territory Sales Representative – Civil Construction Equipment Manufacturer - Base Salary to 65k/year – Pittsburgh, PA

    • Our client is a civil construction equipment manufacturer/distributor that has been in business for the past 42 years. They serve the Civil Underground Construction markets and specialize in the Design, Manufacturing and Rental of Trench Safety Shoring & Shielding equipment as well as supply of Composite and Wood Ground Protection Matting for Temporary Access Pads and Roadways on projects. They are headquartered in East Brunswick, NJ with multiple branches located in the Northeast and Midwest.
    • Our client is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to join their Northeast Shoring Team to further continue their growth in one of their existing territories. The territory for this region is from the Pittsburgh, PA area to the Youngstown, OH area. Direct outside sales and rental experience in markets servicing the construction industry is critical to success for this position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Make daily Sales calls, Office visits, Construction Site visits
    • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new customers.
    • Collaborate with construction companies, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand their equipment needs.
    • Conduct Project Research in order to open and establish new accounts.
    • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new customers.
    • Collaborate with construction companies, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand their equipment needs.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including leads, opportunities and closed deals.
    • Generate regular reports on sales performance within the territory.
    • Strong focus on providing the highest levels of customer service
    • Problem-solving for existing client’s and potential customers in the Heavy Civil Construction, Excavation, Underground, Water, Sewer, Utility and Gas Industries.
    • Travel within the designated territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct on-site visits.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience in RENTAL and sales of equipment to the civil construction industry.
    • Bachelor’s degree a plus but will look at experience over degree.
    • Demonstrated and verifiable track record of establishing strong relationships with contractors in the area.
    • Existing and detailed working knowledge of the local contractor markets, account base or relationships with key decision makers are a plus.
    • Can read blueprints and/or project specifications.
    • Experience with Trench Safety/Shoring & Shielding equipment products a plus (Trench Boxes, Slide Rail Shoring Systems, etc.)

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 55k – 65k/year range
    • Monthly commission structure.
