Our client is a growing and reputable Third-Party MEP commissioning and energy consulting services company for new and existing facilities. They are currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer that will assist with New construction commissioning and existing building commissioning projects in the Life Science, Data Centers and Higher Education Industries. This is a regionally remote/work from home position with regular travel to project sites within about 1-hour radius of the San Francisco Bay Area. Responsibilities:
Developing Commissioning Plans
Developing project specific test scripts including Pre-Functional Checklists (PFC), Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Integrated Systems Tests (IST).
Onsite execution/witness of test protocols
Running commissioning meetings, capturing and delivering meeting minutes to the project team.
Documenting Commissioning Issues and managing their resolution.
Developing commissioning reports
Developing systems manuals and operational & maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Design reviews including OPR, BOD, Plans and Specifications
Review of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings
Conducting yourself safely on jobsites and complying with the Contractors’ job-specific safety requirements
Utilizing Facility Grid software for commissioning projects (training will be provided)
Qualifications:
B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, or related field
5+ years of related MEP construction and commissioning experience in building over 10,000 sqft required
Technical knowledge of system design, installation, operation and maintenance in the following areas:
Mechanical Systems (HVAC)
Electrical Systems
Plumbing System
Process Systems
Controls and Automation
Building Automation Systems (BAS, BMS, Etc.)
Building Envelope
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) and Energy Auditing Experience
Navigation of various Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Strong knowledge of the design, construction, and commissioning processes
Understanding of state and local energy codes and LEED Cx requirements
Field experience strongly preferred
Ability to read construction drawings
Client management skills
Experience navigation various Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Compensation:
Base salary to 130k/year depending on amount of direct relevant experience
