The Process Engineering Manager position is a High-Impact and Key-Position within the company, and will be able to make major improvements and positive impacts to company's future growth & stability.
Responsibilities:
The Process Engineering Manager leads a team of Engineers and Technicians to establish, document, implement, and maintain sustainable injection molding processes thru structured studies and the application of Scientific Molding principles. Responsibilities include delivery of processes for new injection molding tooling introductions as well as support of existing tooling through cost reductions and process capability improvements.
Will also manage and train a group of Process Engineers and Technicians on NPD projects and succession planning for the future.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred but not required.
5+ years of experience hands-on process engineering for Injection Molding fully capable of managing entire projects for new Tooling & Process development from concept through launches into production: Design reviews, ECRs for moldability issues, overseeing new mold builds, to new process development, DOEs, capability & validation studies, machine & material specifications, troubleshooting & optimizations, writing SOPs and training employees on processes, etc.
Experience molding very small parts/products is needed with a plus for Micro-Molding and/or products related to the optical connectors, fiber optics industries, or similar.
Working knowledge of RJG-Scientific Molding or similar along with mold simulation software
Must have experience molding some type of Engineering Grade Resins with a plus for Ultem, TPE, ABS/PC materials
