Vice President of Operations – Paint Manufacturing – Base Salary to 170k/year – Detroit, MI

• Our client, a leading industrial paints and coatings manufacturer, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee Manufacturing Operations and drive Operational Excellence.
• In this role, the Vice President of Operations will manage teams across various departments while helping to establish operational standards for Quality, Safety, and Customer Satisfaction. The ideal candidates will have a background in paint/chemical manufacturing and will possess a ‘hands-on’ leadership mentality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Production Processes are meeting Production Goals, Quality Standards, and Customer Demand
• Develop Procurement Strategies to Optimize Supply Chain Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness
• Drive Product Development Initiatives, leveraging expertise in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering to Improve Product Quality
• Assum P&L responsibility for the facility
• Report directly to the President and collaborate with executive team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Related Field
• 5+ years in Paint Development or Production
• Robust understanding of Manufacturing Processes and Technologies
• Previous P&L responsibility
• Complex Problem-Solving Skills
• Servant Leadership and Team Development Experience
• Must have a “hands-on” attitude

Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 170k/year plus a discretionary bonus. Company also offers 401k with a match, top health benefits, and full relocation package.
