Operations Manager - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 100k/year - Salem, OR

• Our client, a large Metals Recycler, is seeking an Operations Manager to directly oversee the Productivity, Safety & Efficiency of the Yard. This role will be responsible for maintaining Quality, Safety, Security & Environmental Compliance.
• In this role, the Operations Manager will be responsible for leading & managing all yard & shop personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Planning & Scheduling for operations employees
• Directly Manage, Train, Develop & Discipline team members as needed
• Create a culture of accountability
• Coordinate inbound & outbound shipments with dispatcher
• Work cross-functionally with Maintenance to schedule major repairs or PM
• Troubleshoot Equipment Issues
• Optimize Traffic Flow & Usage of Salvage Material
• Prioritize Shop Needs & Projects
• Provide Updates & Reports to Regional Manager & Leadership

Qualifications:

• 3+ Years of Management/Leadership Experience in Metal Recycling Industry
• Strong Problem Solver
• Familiar with flow of scrapyard
• Solid Mechanical Aptitude
• Experience leading, training & holding employees accountable

Compensation: Base salary up to 100k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
