    Engineering Manager – Contract Manufacturing PCB Electronics – Base Salary to 120k/year – Tallahassee, FL

    • Our client, a well-established Contract PCB Electronics Manufacturer is currently seeking an Engineering Manager for their Tallahassee, FL area location (80-100 employees total). They have been in the electronics industry for 30 years offering customized PCB (printed circuit board) assembly & RF technology supporting medical, Aerospace/ Military, Communications, and Industrial markets.
    • The Engineering Manager is responsible for Process Support and Product Evaluation functions to provide direction, planning, systems and support for Process Control Analysis. This position reports to the President/CEO.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement robust manufacturing, test processes, and plans
    • Provide reports on the Manufacturing Engineering function
    • Provide technical information for new business quotes/ customer consultation
    • Provide analytical information for process improvement
    • Evaluate product manufacturability and testability
    • Monitor product workmanship prior to audit process
    • Supervise Engineering Department, Maintenance & Programmers (5-10 ppl)
    • Interview, hire, coach/train, direct work, evaluate performance, discipline, reward, assist in resolving issues

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 7+ years related experience in Contract Manufacturing for PCB Electronics, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole Technology (THT)
    • Proven experience with SMT including BGA processes and THT manufacturing equipment, processes, programming and maintenance
    • In depth knowledge of ICT, functional test and flying probe test
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma concepts and implementation
    • Valor and other programming software adaptability; MS Office Pro and CAD/CAM software; oven profiling, solder wave profiling and other electronic manufacturing/testing software desirable (e.g., AOI, Flying Probe, etc.).
    • Ability to generate accurate/appropriate formulas in Excel spreadsheets
    • Understanding of tooling, tooling dies and fixture designs and implementation
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents
    • Effective response to internal or external inquiries, including presenting to executive management
    • Advanced math capability: exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations as applied to frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 110k – 120k/year range, flexible dependent on experience
