Facility Engineer – Commercial Real Estate - Base Salary to 80k/year – Old Bridge, NJ
Our client is a medical commercial office real estate organization that works throughout the US and has three buildings around the Old Bridge, NJ area. They are seeking to hire a Facility Engineer that will work to ensure the highest standard in property operations in their area. This person will work on three different properties as the engineer. Maintenance on each property is standard maintenance and dealings with vendors as needed. This person is the company’s engineer expert in the area.
Responsibilities:
Work with property management team to identify qualified contractors for project work. Review bids and proposals obtained. Provide contractor selection recommendations to management
Coordinate, supervise and provide final inspection approval of all capital projects and large repair and maintenance projects
Perform, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, minor locksmith and painting for specific assets
Perform routine HVAC preventative maintenance work. Monitor building BAS. Evaluate HVAC system issues and make recommendations to resolve
Work with other team members and outside vendors to maintain non-HVAC building systems
Review monthly that all preventative maintenance work is being completed
Inspect roof condition monthly
Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly inspection and testing of generators, life safety and other building systems, Complete reports after each inspection
Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience working in property management maintenance
Knowledge of medical/healthcare property is a plus
Ability to work independently, evaluate vendors and contractors, work with power and hand tools, strong knowledge of HVAC and building mechanical systems
