Job Description
In this role, the Painting Superintendent will lead a team of up to 50 painters to execute a range of residential and commercial painting projects. Work environment is mostly in office, but with a significant field component. They charge a premium to perform high quality work, so attention to detail is a must. Core duties include:
- Manage a team of painters and oversee several jobs occurring simultaneously
- Hire, onboard, train and develop a top tier team of painters
- Travel to job sites daily to engage with team and monitor job progress
- Manage the labor scheduling of the painting team in conjunction with the foreman
- Drive high productivity to maximize the gross profit of every job
- Ensure that projects are completed with high quality and meets customer expectations
- Promote and drive a culture of safety to keep the team safe
- Collaborate with management team and drive improvement initiations
- Continuously partner with the back office team to ensure the field is aware of all project developments and vice versa
- Drive a positive culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years of paint contracting experience (must have experience in multi-family housing, commercial core & shell, and tenant improvement)
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Prior experience as a superintendent or quality experience managing several different types of jobs as a foreman
- Ability to hire qualified painters
- Ability to understand architectural plans
- Desire to continually improve the operations and drive the highest standards
- Must have prior experience operating scissor lifts, booms lifts, scaffolding, and swing stages.
Compensation
- Base Salary from $80k - $120k+/year DOE
