    Personal Lines Customer Service Representative – Personal Lines Insurance - Base Salary to 50k/year - West Chester, PA

    • Our client is a privately held independent commercial insurance company, and is looking for a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join their team in West Chester, PA. The Personal Lines Customer Service Representative will assist in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts.
    • The expectation of the Personal Lines Customer Service Representative is to provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service to designated accounts in support of agency and personal line activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather information and risk management recommendations for the renewal of designated accounts
    • Work with Account Manager to confirm rating, prepare spreadsheets and proposals
    • Check in on renewals, confirm coverages, correct errors
    • Check in and bill endorsements
    • Field calls from clients, insurance company representatives and related industries
    • Speak to dealer and mortgage representatives; obtain any necessary policy information, provide information to account manager or representative to confirm coverage
    • Process and handle all cancellation and reinstatement notices

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience having worked in Personal Lines is preferred, but not required.
    • Thorough understanding of Personal Lines underwriting and coverages.
    • 2+ experience in similar position is desirable or in Customer Service type of role in Personal Lines.
    • Must have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency functions or very close to obtaining license upon acceptance of job offer.
    • College degree preferred, but not mandatory
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 40k – 50k/year range
    • Annual bonus plan and employer paid basic medical plan.
    • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote once caught up to speed.
