    • Our client is a road repair and new construction company that has a shop location in the Montgomery, AL are in which they need to bring on a new Shop Foreman. The organization recently promoted someone which has caused the vacancy and they are looking for a professional that can lead a team of technicians, handle the day to day workflow and maintain high standards. This person needs to have a strong technical aptitude and organizational skills to keep productivity high and the team focused.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, coordinating repairs and maintenance activities with the maintenance team as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of job orders, work progress, and inventory levels, utilizing appropriate systems or software.
    • Provide technical expertise and assistance to technicians, offering guidance in complex repairs, diagnostics, or problem-solving.
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficient operations.
    • Oversee the scheduling and assignment of work orders, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to production timelines.
    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels of parts, materials, and supplies are maintained.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar supervisory role in an, automotive, or related industry.
    • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to shop environments.
    • Proficient in using shop management systems, inventory software, and other relevant tools.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).

    Compensation:

    • Base salary up to 85k/year, flexible dependent on experience, and benefits.
