    Business Development Manager – Construction Product Supplier – Base Salary to 100k/year - Stamford, CT

    • For more than 25 years, our client has offered quality construction products to the utility and infrastructure construction market. With well over 2,000 products that include PPE, Clothing, Footwear, Road Signage, Site Supplies, and Tools they are a one-stop-shop for construction site needs. They guarantee same-day-delivery within the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia metro area all thanks to their state of the art 100,000 square foot warehouse facility. With their current operation expanding to Connecticut and Baltimore they have been on a fast track of steady growth by adding over 75 employees in just the last 8 years!
    • The Business Development Manager will be a key player for their continued growth in the Connecticut market. The Business Development Manager will be part of a high-performing sales team with a People First mindset in order to drive company growth. The Business Development Manager role will be directly responsible for building new business and maintaining key accounts through face-to-face appointments. Our client believes in extreme customer service, reliability, and transparency!

    Responsibilities:

    • Sales Targets are met on a monthly basis. This will include a monthly revenue goal as well as a gross profit target.
    • Collaborate with an internal Account Manager on guidance on customer pricing, closing sales, making outbound calls, and is responsible to meet defined Key Performance Indicators.
    • Ensure inquiries are sent through the correct sales support channels.
    • Ensure you are visiting and quoting enough potential buyers to hit new customer targets.
    • Develop strategies around increasing revenue and product lines with existing customers.
    • 12-15 warm meetings/site visits per day in their territory, required

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales
    • Experience working within the construction industry is a huge plus but is not required
    • Experience with face-to-face meetings is required
    • Experience working within a distributor/warehouse environment is a huge plus
    • Ability to travel within the specified territory. Bulk of business will be in Connecticut; New York is also included in the territory.
    • This person must be able to work in the Stamford office on Friday’s during the week and will be on the road Monday – Thursday

    Compensation:

    • Base salary up to 110k/year
    • Annual commission of 5% of Gross Profit Dollars (OTE of 140k in your first year, up to 170k in your second year)
