    Our client, a well-established Building Material Manufacturer, is currently seeking an HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) Manager for their northern California manufacturing plant. Our client is a privately owned multinational corporation focused on innovation and sustainability where employees are part of the family, with global impact.

    In this role, the HSE Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating all health, safety and environmental programs for the facility including training, audits, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, investigations & corrective actions, documentation/ recordkeeping /performance metrics, worker’s compensation case management, compliant waste disposal, environmental reporting, & material safety data recording.

    For this position, our client is looking for a bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred, (or equivalent experience), as well as 3+ years of experience working with environmental regulatory issues (for California preferred), and 5+ years of health & safety experience in an industrial manufacturing facility

    Ideal knowledge or ability for this role:

    • industrial hygiene and safety, occupational health, and hazard communication
    • environmental regulations and permits
    • chemical properties of substances and their processes and transformations
    • laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, & governmental regulations
    • effective communication across all levels of the organization including public speaking and presentations
    • timely information analysis and pragmatic decision making
    • training and motivation of others in a fast-paced and changing environment
    • working “hands-on” in both corporate and industrial environments
    • managing large projects within scope and budget
    • traveling approximately 10% of the time
    • traits: self-driven and goal-oriented, with critical thinking, problem solving, project management, negotiation, active listening, & leadership skills
    • MS Office; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

    Compensation for this role is in the $90K/year range depending on candidate experience and fit to role, plus a 10% bonus program.
