Maintenance Plant Manager – Manufacturing - Base Salary to 90k/year - Ashland, ME

• Our client, established in a highly specialized industry for more than two decades, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plant Manager to join their manufacturing workforce, driven by the expansion of their operations and growing market demands.
• The Maintenance Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including maintenance, personnel management, production efficiency, and safety, to ensure timely manufacturing of products. The Maintenance Plant Manager will conduct regular meetings with manufacturing staff, prioritize tasks, manage equipment and supplies, and collaborate closely with the owner to plan daily activities and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of all plant employees, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring proper functioning of equipment, tools, and facilities to support efficient manufacturing, while also addressing any maintenance-related issues promptly and proactively.
• Management of production processes, materials, equipment, and tools for manufacturing.
• Coordination of shipping and receiving activities to support production.
• Conducting meetings with floor personnel to delegate tasks and ensure safe, high-quality production.
• Prioritization of duties and projects to maintain production schedule.
• Commitment to safety across all manufacturing facility operations.
• Resolution of production and safety issues as they arise, with detailed logging of incidents.
• Ordering, tracking, and maintenance of shop equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Taking the lead in resolving manufacturing issues to improve efficiency.
• Close collaboration with the owner in planning and communicating daily plant activities and projects.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Supervisory experience, including managing a team effectively
• Proficiency in operating mobile equipment
• Skills in welding, fabrication, and general mechanical and electrical maintenance on both fixed and mobile equipment
