• Our client, a freight & logistics company, specializes in customized logistics solutions to meet the needs of companies who import and export goods from around the world. Having been in business for over 50 years, they have become well-respected as one of the most reliable freight forwarding companies in the industry. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator (internally titled Import Coordinator) to join the Import team.
• In this role, the Import Coordinator should have experience with international Freight Forwarding and domestic Trucking or Truck Brokerage.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking of inbound/outbound shipments with ocean & air freight carriers
• Communication of cargo status to clientele
• Accurate and timely distribution of documentation
• Arrangement of timely cargo delivery
• Coordination between shipping lines, air lines and common carriers
• Monitoring and understanding of in-transit cargo and documentation requirements
• Negotiation of freight rates with common carriers and warehouses

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in handling all modes of international transportation
• Multi-lingual is a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills & detail-oriented
• Strong MS Excel & Word skills
• Possess a deep understanding of LTL/TL carrier and delivery processes

Compensation for this role includes a base salary in the 55k – 68k/year range, health insurance, paid holidays & PTO.
