Mold Maker – Plastics Manufacturing – Base Salary to 42.00/hour – Schaumburg, IL
Our client is a leading plastics manufacturer. They are well established and have been in business for well over 80 years.
The Mold Maker will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining molds and providing guidance on tooling issues throughout the plant. This is a first shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinders, and basic machine shop equipment.
Building and repairing molds.
Read blueprints, sketches, and CAM/CAM files to determine mold specifications.
Lead the preventative maintenance program for manual and automatic equipment.
Utilize CAD software for mold design.
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Utilize strong written and verbal skills.
Qualifications:
5+ years of CAD/CAM software experience.
Experienced using Proto TRAK milling machine.
5+ years of CRM software experience.
Ability to use 3D files to program CNC machines.
Mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification (or equivalent).
