    • Our client is a family owned and operated general construction company that has been serving the greater Southern California market for nearly 50 years! They specialize public works school and commercial construction projects as well as multi-prime contracts with an emphasis on concrete, specialties, elevators, doors, and hardware. They handle a mix of new construction as well as building modernization projects for public entities including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, libraries, and public buildings.     • The construction Project Manager will be an integral part of the local team here in San Bernardino, CA. We are looking for an experienced individual that is an expert at reading plans, can handle multiple projects at once, and is a strong problem-solver!

    Responsibilities

    • Manage projects with a multitude of Subcontractors and Vendors on each assigned project. We deal with over 50 different products in the Specialties work performed
    • Manage budget of projects as well as Superintendent and Project Coordinator
    • Analyze construction documents and interpret with the ability to identify, execute, and trouble shoot issues – Scope of Work Interpretation
    • Responsible for project budget and billing in relation to both the Owner and Subcontractors
    • Manage the submittal, RFI and project documentation requirements
    • Coordinate and directly communicate with project team: Owner’s, Architects, IOR, and Subcontractors
    • Manage and prepare potential cost impacts and Change Orders. Negotiate costs with Owners.
    • Review and approve subcontractor submittals in accordance with construction documents
    • Quality assurance and quality control in all aspects.
    • Monitor daily work activities to ensure proper adherence with company and jobsite safety requirements
    • Responsible for CPM schedule and regular updating to track construction progress
    • Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager to be considered for this role
    • Specific experience with Public Works school projects is highly desired for this role
    • Must have strong literacy of all forms of construction documents, plans, and blueprints
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Must have construction software experience (i.e. PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, Outlook, etc.)
    • Must have excellent organizational skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Public Works requirements is highly preferred for this role
    • Must have the ability to run anywhere from 8-10 projects ranging in size from 50,000 – 10 million
    • Must have a valid California Driver’s License
    • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

    Compensation/Incentives

    • Base salary in the 105k – 140k/year range
