    Fire Alarm Programmer – Fire and Security – Base Salary to 47.00/hour – New York, NY

    • Our client, established in 1992, is a prominent provider of fire alarm, life safety, and security systems solutions. Specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems (ARCS), card access, camera surveillance, and intrusion systems, they offer comprehensive services in the New York City Metro Area. They consistently ensure exceptional service by maintaining current industry knowledge and complying with local code requirements.
    • The Fire Alarm Programmer will play a critical part of our client’s ever-growing client base, contributing to the implementation of cutting-edge products and services in the dynamic realm of life safety and security systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform troubleshooting duties as needed
    • Program small- to medium-sized projects and fire alarm panels
    • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
    • Identify components’ functionality and install them on fire alarm panels
    • Bootstrap fire alarm panels and troubleshoot field devices and circuits
    • Maintain accurate records of work and generate system status reports
    • Foster positive client relations through professional interactions

    Qualifications:

    • HS diploma or GED equivalent
    • Trade school certification with 2+ years of fire alarm experience and S-98 certification OR 4+ years of fire alarm experience, with S-98 certification within 3 months of hire
    • Ten-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification
    • Proficient in computers, fire alarm systems, blueprints, and schematics
    • Familiarity with NYC Building codes and NFPA fire alarm codes
    • Adaptable to learning new fire alarm products
    • Competent use of hand tools and electronics principles
    • Demonstrated safety and effective use of equipment

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 25.00 – 47.00/hour range
