Product Engineer – Plastic Manufacturing – Base Salary to 66k/year – Cleveland, OH

• Under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer, the Product Engineer supports product engineering activities including development, modifications, and technical services. Responsibilities encompass providing technical support to Marketing and Manufacturing, evaluating materials, contributing to new product development, and collaborating with vendors. Qualifications include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, up to five years of experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to Marketing and Manufacturing for existing products.
• Evaluate alternative materials for cost reduction and enhanced performance.
• Assist in new product development and modifications.
• Collaborate with vendors on tooling and fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards during product development.
• Analyze field complaints and product failures for resolution.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
• Interpret engineering recommendations and customer specifications.
• Attend technical meetings, conferences, and specialized courses.
• Utilize design software such as Pro-E, SolidWorks, or Auto-CAD.

Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1+ years of experience in product development or engineering with Plastics
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Travel 10%-20%
