Territory Sales Representative - Industrial Automation - Base Salary to 150k/year - Detroit, MI
- Founded over 35 years ago, our client is a Global Engineering and Services company specializing in Industrial Automation solutions for the manufacturing space. This worldwide company is looking to expand their team in the Americas market.
- They are looking to hire a Territory Sales Representative (direct selling role) to join their Detroit team. This position will focus on selling into Food & Beverage Manufacturers and Chemical Manufacturers (companies with revenue above 1B/year).
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, cold call, promote and sell industrial automated solutions to OEMs, specifically into the Food & Beverage/Chemical verticals
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met
- Travel to conferences, tradeshows, and networking events
- Travel throughout the US territory to visit/conduct demos for potential customers (30% overnight travel)
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any customer issues
Qualifications:
- 5+ years handling the full sales cycle selling solutions specifically into Feed, Food & Beverage and Chemical Manufacturers (Must have C-Level/VP Level Contacts with companies that have revenue above 1B/annually
- Strong technical aptitude
- Must live in the Detroit area and be open to 30% overnight travel
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets with a focus on new business development
- Understanding of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Sandler Sales System experience is a plus)
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 100k - 150k/year range, plus commission
