Insurance Underwriter - Regional Carrier – Base Salary to 120k/year – Roseville, CA

• Our client, a respected and established 100+ year regional carrier that operates in CA, AZ, NV, OR and WA has an immediate need for an Insurance Underwriter (internally titled Agribusiness Underwriting Specialist) to join their team. The ideal candidate for this role will reside in: Reno, NV; or Roseville or Monterey, CA.

Responsibilities:

• The Insurance Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating small to middle market risks mainly in the Northern CA territory. You will build strong agency relationships to develop new business opportunities, retain a strong renewal book, and make production calls. You will handle agribusiness & complex commercial risks. You will use D&B reports, MVR's, loss runs, and inspection reports to evaluate the overall risk quality & acceptability. Travel for agency visits are maybe once a month.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of agribusiness underwriting experience.

• Insurance designations and a college degree are a plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 75k - 120k/year range depending on experience plus profit sharing bonus & salary increases.
