    HR Generalist – Bank Construction and Services – Base Salary to 75k/year – Arlington Heights, IL

    • Our client provides construction GC services, facility maintenance services, and equipment support to the banking and financial industry, with a focus on Chicago and Midwestern banks. Projects range from remodeling to full ground up construction, as well as bank services and equipment sales. They have been in the business since 1972, and pride themselves on having a committed, positive workplace with a collaborative, problem solving culture.
    • In this role, the HR Generalist will be involved in a wide variety of departmental activities, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration and tracking, and ensuring employee well-being.

    Responsibilities:

    • Source candidates through online job boards, review resumes, coordinate interviews, provide hiring recommendations as appropriate
    • Create offer letters, arrange background and drug testing, generate new hire paperwork, and ensure IT and payroll are set up
    • Conduct new hire orientation, create orientation schedule, review benefits and employee handbook
    • Coordinate open enrollment, changes, and training for employee benefits programs
    • Process payroll in conjunction with the CFO for 70 employees, both hourly and salary
    • Process worker’s comp claims and premium payments
    • Handle general benefits administration
    • Assist with all compliance filings and required audits
    • Provide support to employees in regards to compensation, attendance, corrective actions, and policy inquiries
    • Counsel team leads and supervisors on employee relations issues and help reach appropriate resolutions

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years experience in HR roles required
    • Prior experience in Payroll processing required
    • Must be proficient in Excel and MS Office
    • Must be proficient in accounting and payroll software, Paylocity is a plus
    • Ability to work daily in the Arlington Heights office

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 60k - 75k/year range
