    Territory Sales Representative – Stainless Steel and Aluminum Processing – Base Salary to 95k/year – Union, NJ

    • Our client is an aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, commercial construction, aerospace, automotive, and fabrication industries.
    • They are currently seeking a Territory Sales Representative for their team in Union, NJ. The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for regional sales in the northeast.

    Responsibilities:

    • Direct selling stainless steel and aluminum flat roll to established customers, as well as developing sales prospects within the assigned territory.
    • Generates sales reports each week and submits them to management
    • Updates client information in the company contact database
    • Stays on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
    • Works closely with engineers, general contractors, and inside sales to ensure that bids and proposals are completed per customer requirements
    • Grows profitable sales within strategic and opportunistic growth segments
    • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales
    • Schedules and performs cold calls to existing customers in the assigned California markets.
    • Researches and provides competitive information regarding the aluminum and steel industry
    • Maintenance of key customers ensuring a continued base of profitable industrial business
    • Estimates quotes effectively /customer projects
    • Converts opportunities into invoiced sales
    • Monitors, analyzes and communicates sales data to contribute to product/service schedule and planning
    • Responds to customer information requests; collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure a timely and accurate response

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
    • 5+ years of industrial aluminum and stainless-steel sales, fabrication, and/or industrial sales within the territory
    • Experience in calculating proportions, circumference and volume required; experience with slitting
    • Prior experience with blue-print and CAD drawings preferred

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 75k – 95k/year range, plus commission
